Arrivo al Concorso

Although it is said that all roads lead to Rome, even if you plan to arrive by car, the easiest way to get to Rome is either by plane or train.

BY PLANE 


Rome has two major airports. The main is Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, better known as Fiumicino (FCO)—60 minutes by taxi. The second airport is Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA), located southeast of Rome—60 minutes by taxi.

BY PRIVATE JET 

Rome Ciampino Airport also known as G.B. Pastine International Airport, is the main hub for private jet travel in Rome. 

BY HELICOPTER 

There are two helipads near to the centre, the Ponte Galeria Helipad by Fiumicino (FCO), or the Rome Urbe Airfield.

BY TRAIN 

Rome’s main central railway station ‘Roma Termini’ serves trains from mainland Italy and international and overnight trains from various European cities. Unless you have pre-arranged transfers organised, the train is probably the most convenient option. The ‘Leonardo Express’, located inside the airport, is a non-stop train from Fiumicino (FCO), that runs every 15 minutes and takes just 32 minutes.  

BY METRO 

Rome has the smallest metro system in Europe, with only three lines covering 37 miles of the city. Conveniently, the entrance to the Repubblica Stazione on Linea A (orange) can be found directly outside the hotel.  

BY CAR

Most of central Roma is in a Limited Traffic Zone or ZTL, with very limited or no access for non-residents. The Casina Valadier itself is just outside the ZTL. Please note: Electric vehicles are allowed to circulate in all ZTLs of Rome at any time and to park for free in all parking spots marked blue.

Arrivo a Casina Valadier

Although the Anantara Concorso Roma is based at the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Hotel, the Concorso itself will take place at the 19th-century Casina Valadier, located in the heart of Villa Borghese, on the highest point of the Pincio, overlooking the Piazza del Popolo and close to the Spanish Steps.

There is a Stazione dei Taxi in the nearby Piazza del Popolo—an 8-minute walk away.

METRO

BY FOOT 

One of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to travel through the centre of Rome is on foot. If where you are staying is within 20 minute’s walk of the Casina Valadier, on your journey there you’ll be travelling through history.
